The Story Behind Magical Memory Planners
My love of travel started before I can even remember.
I was just seven months old when my parents took me to Walt Disney World for the first time. Of course, I don’t remember that trip, but it was the beginning of a family tradition that would shape my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined.
Every year, my parents, brothers, and I would pack up our camper and head to Disney’s Fort Wilderness. We’d spend our days exploring the parks and our evenings together as a family.
Looking back, those childhood vacations almost blend into one wonderful collection of memories. What I remember most isn’t a particular ride or attraction. It’s the feeling of being together.
As I grew older, travel continued to be an important part of my life. My husband and I took our first trip together on our honeymoon and made it a priority to travel every year.
When we started our own family, travel took on an entirely new meaning.
When our first child, our daughter, was born, we couldn’t wait to share our love of travel with her. She took her first Disney vacation at just six months old, and we began creating the same traditions I had grown up with. We went camping, took cruises, explored theme parks, and discovered new destinations as our family grew.
My husband worked a lot when our children were young, so those vacations became especially meaningful. They were our opportunity to put the phones and work away, step outside our everyday routines, and simply enjoy being together.
We watched our children learn to swim, try zip lining, interact with dolphins, discover new foods, and find the courage to try new things. We laughed together, worked through frustrations, and explored unfamiliar places.
Some trips were big adventures. Others were simple weekends away.
But they all mattered.
Along the way, I realized I wanted other families to experience what travel had given mine. I wanted to help people take the trips they’d always dreamed about without feeling overwhelmed by everything it takes to plan them.
And that’s how Magical Memory Planners was born.
When I started the agency, our three children were still young. As our business grew, so did our opportunities to travel and create memories together.
Not long ago, I was watching old videos from a family trip to Discovery Cove. There were my children, so much younger, feeding birds and swimming with dolphins.
I sent the video to my daughter, who told me she remembered that day and couldn’t wait for our next family trip to France.
It reminded me that those vacations weren’t simply places we visited or activities we experienced. They became part of our family’s story, giving us shared memories that still bring us together years later.
Now, as our children grow into adults and begin building families of their own, I look forward to seeing those traditions continue with the next generation.
