Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort
We recently enjoyed a filling breakfast at the Cape May Cafe. This character meal is located at the Beach Club Resort just off the main lobby. Breakfast is served from 7:30am – 11am.
The buffet breakfast at Cape May Cafe is all you care to eat. There is a nice selection of breakfast/brunch items. The standard items such as scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, biscuits and gravy, Mickey waffles and fresh fruit are there. They also had some items that surprised me like the chorizo scrambled eggs and roasted asparagus. They can even make gluten free Mickey waffles and Debi said they were awesome. The buffet had even more items then I have mentioned too. Should be enough variety for everyone. The buffet also includes juice, milk, coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. I enjoyed having my own carafe of decaf coffee so it was always hot and ready for a refill.
I really enjoyed my breakfast. I think these are the first Mickey waffles I’ve had (since I typically don’t like waffles) and I LOVED them. I loved the asparagus too. I’m not a big breakfast person but thought the food was good and I enjoyed it.
While you are enjoying your meal you will be greeted by a few Disney characters that are getting ready for a day at the beach. Goofy, Donald, and Minnie were all there for pictures and autographs. It is always fun to see the character ready for some fun and in different attire. I asked them if they were planning to do some swimming at the pool or out in a boat. It made for a fun character interaction.
This meal is 1 table service credit on the dining plan. Tax is included but you will need to leave a tip.
You can easily walk to the Cape May Cafe from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, and Disney’s Boardwalk Inn & Villas. From other resorts you will need to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and transfer to a Beach Club bus. This transfer can take up to an hour and half. For a much faster option you can call a Mears Taxi at 407-422-2222. If you have a car you can also drive over. After breakfast you can easily walk to Epcot and arrive near France at the International Gateway. You can also take a boat to Hollywood Studios. If you plan on going to another park you can do that too using the Beach Club bus transportation. Unless you are at one of the resorts mentioned you will most likely enjoy this breakfast on a day that you are not rushing to the parks.
