One of my favorite ports of call is Castaway Cay. This 1,000 acre private island in the Caribbean offers fun for the whole family.
Activities:
You can enjoy water sports and boat rentals to explore around the island. You can also view all the beautiful fish in a designated snorkeling area. If you want to explore the island you can rent bikes and go for a ride around the island on bike paths.
Beaches:
Grab some beach towels on your way off the ship and head for the beach. Chairs and umbrellas are waiting for you on three different beaches. Families can stay together, swim, and build sandcastles on the family beach.
If your teenagers want some time on their own they can go to the teen beach. If you are a couple without kids or your kids are in the Oceaneer Club you can relax at the secluded mild long beach for adults only. They have a cabana for drinks and you can even have a massage from the spa while you listen to the ocean.
When you get hungry or thirsty you can eat at the outdoor buffet right on the island and help yourself to all the soft drinks you want (they are both included in your cruise fare). It is truly a piece of paradise. Don’t forget to bring your post cards to the island with you. You can even mail them from the islands own post office.
All Caribbean and Bahamian cruises spend one day at Castaway Cay. Some cruise itineraries offer 2 days at Castaway Cay. They are well worth it. Then you can have a day to relax and a day to enjoy all the activities the island has to offer. Check out all the Castaway Cay itineraries.
