Traveling to Disney with a family means you need to pack a few essentials. These are top 5 Disney travel essentials you should bring with you when traveling to Disney with a family, especially if you have young children.
Rain Coat/Umbrella
It does tend to rain in Florida, so an umbrella or raincoat can be helpful. An umbrella is also great when it is hot and you need some shade as well. A raincoat can be great when you are in a restaurant and the air conditioner is cold. A stroller cover might be a good idea too if you are going at a particularly rainy time of year.
*Tip – Cover your stroller when you are going to leave it for a while incase it starts raining.
Water Bottle/Snacks
Drinking plenty of water is important and carrying a good water bottle is essential. I like something insulated that has a large opening so it is easy to poor in a cup of ice water while at the parks. A few snacks are also great. The kids can get hungry and it can be a good diversion in line or help when your regular eating schedule is a little off.
Personal Fan or Stroller Fan
This can be a great option for little ones as well. Especially if you expect they will nap in their stroller. Something that can last all day as well can be recharged is a great option.
Portable Charger
This is a huge must. Between the My Disney Experience app, and other devices for the kids, you will need to have a portable charger that will keep you going all day. I like one that can charge multiple devices. It is also helpful if it shows the percentage it is full, so I know how much charge I have left (so I can decide who gets to use it).
First Aid Kit
I never travel without one. Little things can happen and it can save time going to first aid. Band aids (in lots of sizes), Tylenol/Motrin, afterbite (works great on bee stings), neosporin (I like both the cream and the foaming spray), moleskin for blisters, medicated powder for chaffing. Some people like to keep something for motion sickness as well. You may have a few ideas of your own that are specific to your families needs as well. (of course this is not specific medical advice just some ideas) Here is more information on my one quart first aid kit that is one of my Disney travel essentials.
So for your next Disney vacation we hope these Disney travel essentials will help you pack your park bag and enjoy your time in the parks.
