Planning a Walt Disney World vacation with kids? Knowing the Disney World height requirements before your trip can help you avoid surprises at the parks and build a ride plan that works for your entire family. Disney lists height requirements in inches and many attractions have no height requirement at all.
Here’s a quick guide to the current Walt Disney World ride height requirements:
Magic Kingdom
- Tomorrowland Speedway: 32” to ride with a driver; 54” to ride alone
- The Barnstormer: 35”
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: 38”
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad: 40”
- Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: 40”
- Space Mountain: 44”
- TRON Lightcycle / Run: 48”
EPCOT
- Test Track: 40”
- Soarin’ Around the World: 40”
- Mission: SPACE: 44”
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind: 42”
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run: 38”
- Slinky Dog Dash: 38”
- Star Tours: 40”
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror: 40”
Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Many popular attractions—including Pirates of the Caribbean, Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world,” and several shows and family attractions—are listed as Any Height, meaning guests of any height can enjoy them.
If your child is not quite tall enough for an attraction, Disney’s Rider Switch service may allow eligible adults to take turns experiencing the attraction without requiring the entire family to wait in line twice. This is a great option!
