On our last trip on the Disney Dream my family did the Midship Detective Agency. It was a blast! You start by going to the Midship Detective Agency kiosk located midship on Deck 5. You select a badge and hold it up to the kiosk. You can pick one of two crimes. You also need to take a Detective Casebook to keep track of the clues.
After you have a badge and a casebook its time to go around the ship to the enchanted art and get some clues. Inside the Detective Casebook you will see a map of the different ship decks showing which art pieces have clues. Its helpful to mark the ones you have visited too so that you can keep track.
When you go to a piece of enchanted art that has a clue you hold up the badge to unlock the clue. After you get the clue you can make notes or eliminate one of the suspects listed in the Detective Casebook. After you have unlocked enough clues you will be able to solve the crime.
Tips:
- You don’t have to go to every art piece to solve the crime.
- You don’t have to do it all at once. Keep it with you and do one when you get the chance like waiting for dinner, coming out of a show, or another time you have a few extra minutes.
- The kiosk is located just down the hall from the Oceaneer clubs for the kids so you can get your badge and case book on your way to dropping the kids off the first day.
- If you have more than 1 child you can pick up two badges and two casebooks and just pick different cases and then they can each do it at the artwork and solve both cases at the same time.
My kids ages 4, 6, and 8 loved it! Have fun!
