Felicia Skoglund lives in Mt. Pleasant, SC with her husband and two children. She has been visiting Disney World since opening day. Felicia has continued to return as a child, teen, adult, and parent.
In addition to her passion for Disney, Felicia adores all travel. She is especially fond of Mexico, the Caribbean, and Europe.
One of my most meaningful travel memories is visiting Peru—a place that captured my heart long before I ever set foot there. As a little girl, I was enchanted by a coffee table book about Peru that belonged to my mother. Machu Picchu’s mysterious ruins and breathtaking mountain scenery sparked a fascination that stayed with me so deeply that I chose it as the subject of my fifth-grade book report. Years later, in my twenties, I watched Samantha Brown explore the region on an episode of Passport to Latin America, and once again, I was mesmerized by the beauty, history, and magic of Peru.
To finally experience these extraordinary places years later, with my own family by my side, was truly a dream come true. Standing among the ancient ruins and seeing the landscapes I had imagined since childhood was a powerful reminder of why I love to travel. Sometimes, the places that touch us most are the ones that have lived in our hearts long before we arrive. For me, Peru was not simply a destination—it was a childhood dream realized, a family memory treasured, and a beautiful reminder that travel has the power to connect our past, present, and future.
