The new Universal Kids Resort is coming to Frisco, Texas in 2026. This new Universal destination is located 30 minutes north of Dallas. It includes a new park and hotel all together within walking distance. Universal is doing something new! This park is focused on families and especially kids ages 10 and under.
Universal Kids Resort
Here is the information about the 7 lands that make up the Universal Kids Resort. Many of the rides have small heigh requirements. There are lots of play areas too that are open to everyone.
Isle of Curiosity
This is the first area you will encounter as you come into the park. Here you will find Gabby’s Dollhouse, food options, and shopping. There will even be a dance party with Gabby and friends.
Dreamworks’ Troll Fest
This land has a family roller coaster, Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express along with other rides. You can also meet Poppy and Friends as well as go to one of the shows, King Trollex Techno Dance Party or Trollstastic: Concert Countdown.
Dreamworks’ Shrek’s Swamp
Get ready for some wet fun in Shrek’s Swamp with two interactive water play areas. You can also ride Shrek & Fiona’s Happily Ogre After or meet the big man himself at a Shrek and Fiona meet and greet.
Dreamworks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
It is always Del Mar’s kitty adoption day in this festive land full of fun attractions and festive food. There is another interactive games area as well as a ride, Swings Over Del Mar. You can also enjoy a fun show, Mama Luna’s Adopt a Kitty Day!
Illumination’s Minions vs Minions: Bellow Bay Club
It’s the yellow minions vs their wild purple counterparts in this fun water play area. You will get wet on the Bello Bay Cruise or you can have a wild ride on Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby. Don’t forget to meet your favorite minion friends too.
Jurassic World Adventure Camp
This land has another great play area around the dinosaur paddock with Jurassic World Lookout Towers. There are also some wild rides like the Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster, Pteranodrop, and Mr. DNA’s Double Helix Spin. Perfect for the kids is a Baby Raptor Meet and Greet (much less scary then the raptor encounter with Blu). You can also enjoy a show with raptor eggs ready to hatch at Jurassic World:Hatch Dispatch!
Nickelodeon Sponge Bob Squarepants Bikini Bottom
Another fun water area with a wet interactive play area. There are also 4 rides in this area to keep you busy. Jellyfish Fields Jamboree, Barnacle Bus, Bobbing Barrels, and Mrs. Puff’s Boating School have more ways to get you wet.
Universal Kids Resort Hotel
This awesome new hotel is right next to the park and even has it’s own dedicated park entrance. It has 300 guest rooms and family suites, is brightly colored and has some great room options for families. Guests also get early park admission, one hour before the park opens.
