Taking your children to Universal Orlando is easy once you know what they can and can’t go on due to height and how to unlock the secret powers of those who are under 52 inches tall with our Univesal Orlando Height Chart.
First you need a Universal Orlando Height Chart. Below you will find a full ride list based on height requirements in height order to make planning rides easier for every member of your family. The parks also have height charts at the front of the park and each attraction to measure those who are close in height to the requirement. Height requirements are for safety reasons so there is no flexibility on if they are tall enough or not. Most of the ride cues are fully themed which is always a fun experience for the young and old alike. When it comes time to board the attraction, parents can take advantage of the Rider Swap. The Rider Swap rooms have seats and are fully air-conditioned and most show a movie while you wait.
Universal Studios Orlando Rider Swap
How does Rider Swap work? Your whole family will enter the ride cue and wait in the amazingly themed cue. When it is time to board the attraction, a parent will be given a paper ticket and taken to the rider swap room while the other parent experiences the attraction with the older ones. When the rest of your family gets off of the attraction, you will exit the ride cue and take your paper ticket to the Express Pass Lane. The coolest thing about Rider Swap, the other parent can now take the older kids back on the attraction with them so they get to ride twice. So fun right?!?
Dance Parties!!
The little ones always light up when the see their favorite characters at dance parties and meet and greets. There is also a designated play space just for kids to run out some of that extra energy. You can find all your favorite characters here.

And don’t forget to add the Photo Pass so professional Universal Orlando photographers can capture all the memories for you!
Indoor and outdoor fun spots…
Camp Jurassic in Islands of Adventure
This outdoor recreation area is a multi-level prehistoric playground of epic proportions and mammoth sized fun! Climbing nets, caves, swaying bridges, mines and water cannons are some of the fun you can find at Camp Jurassic.
To explore indoors, we recommend Jurassic Discovery Center where you can learn about the life of dinosaurs. Here you can also play fun interactive games, examine large fossils and dinosaur eggs and even see a baby velociraptor hatch!!
DreamWorks Land
The new land at Universal Studios Florida
New to Universal Studios is DreamWorks Land! It is now open and has two fun areas for our shorter friends. First is Po Live. In this event you will get to meet and talk with Po on a digital screen. He shows you kung fu and more fun while he cooks and hangs with is baby cousin.
Shrek’s Swamp Meet is a charater meet and greet. You can get your photo with Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey outside Shrek’s cottage. This can be a very fun interaction.
The Come Back Pass
Many of the attraction with a height requirement offer a special pass for the little ones to come back and ride when they meet the height requirement. This pass acts as a future VIP pass so when the day comes that they are tall enough, that child will get a VIP Express entry to that ride and can bring up to 4 people with them. The visit can be months or years into the future so hang on to those passes for a special experience on a future visit.
