There are so many great options at Epcot but what are the best places to eat in Epcot? Where else can you eat authentic food from so many different nations in one day? We try to get a little something from every country. We will try to focus on the best in each category and maybe the locations people don’t know about.
Best Places to Eat in Epcot
Snacks
When it comes to snacks I love to visit the countries to get a taste of some authentic international cuisine. Here are a few good options: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie (France) where you can get some delicious French pastries. My favorite is the raspberry and lime macaron and the beignets. It is in the very back of the France area.
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe (Norway) featuring Norweigan specialties. The best part is the shaded outdoor eating area. A great place to enjoy a treat for you while your kids nap in their stroller. My favorite is the Eplekake which is an apple cake with a carmel drizzle.
Vivoli il Gelato (Italy) is a great place for a cold treat. They don’t accept the dining plan but you can get some great gelato or sorbetto. They also have milkshakes and floats. We recommend trying something different here like the Bombolato which is a scoop of gelato inside a warm Italian donut. They also have intersting flavors like Chocolate Chip – Stracciatella and Almond Cookie – Amaretto.
Keep in mind that during the festivals like Flower and Garden and Food and Wine, the kiosks all around the parks have snacks and I recommend getting one of the guidebooks, or look at the event on the app and check out the food offereings. There are a ton of amazing choices and you can spend your whole day just eating around.
Quick Service
My number 1 favorite outside the world showcase is Sunshine Seasons in The Land Pavillion. There is a wide array of choices here including lots of healthy options. It’s a big change from the burgers and fries of other places. They serve breakfast and there are sandwiches, soups and salads, and wok shop for lunch. They even have some great grab and go options. It has a large inside eating area too. You can eat and take turns going into Soarin’ if you have little ones that can’t ride.
Of course there are lots of quick service places in the World Showcase too. The countries with quick service are Mexico, Norway, American Adventure, China, Germany, Morocco, Italy, Japan, France, and United Kingdom.
One of my favorites is the Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris in France. It is in the new section where Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is. They have savory and sweet crepes. We like them all but if we want dessert we like to get the Red Berry Crêpe and the Housemade Hazelnut & Chocolate Spread Crêpe and put them on top of each other to make an amazing berry/chocolate combo. you can add ice cream if you want too!
I also love to stop in Mexico for a quick meal at the Cantina de San Angel. This location is all outdoor seating looking over the lagoon. I can just hang here with nachos and a sangria (although you could get a mango or lime margarita if that is your thing). Don’t worry about the kids because they have chicken fingers or mac & cheese if they don’t like Mexican food.
Table Service
Again its hard to choose. I could spend my whole life eating in Epcot and never get bored. On that note, I think the best places to eat with kids is either Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Norway or Teppan Edo in Japan.
The first, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, offers a princess meal that is only 1 table service for breakfast and 2 for lunch/dinner. My family really enjoyed our meal here. They do have Norwegian style food so it is great for adventurous eaters. The meal has a fixed price if you are not on the dining plan.
Teppan Edo is a fun Hibachi restaurant where they cook on the table. We find it keeps our children quite entertained. Please remember that even when you first get there the grill on the table is already hot. You can also order sushi if you like. The meal here is a la carte.
There are several higher end places that are great for adults or people with older children and are still 1 table service such as Chefs De France in France or Via Napoli in Italy.
For something with an interesting experience you can try San Angel Inn in Mexico where you eat inside the Mayan Temple, but it looks like you are outside at night in a marketplace. The Biergarten in Germany is also a fun location where it is always Oktoberfest. You can enjoy a German buffet along with music and dancing.
Looking for some fine dining? You can find that too and it’s a perfect way to celebrate a special event. Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada is amazing. So many great options. Monsieur Paul in France is also an amazing, fine dining experience. It has a 6 course meal including appetizer, fish, palet cleanser of pear brandy and sorbet, meat course, cheese course, and dessert. WOW!!
If you want the most options of best places to eat at Epcot then you will want to travel during on of the festivals. There are two big ones, Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival or Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. During these festivals there are lots of extra food kiosks with unique foods and options to try.
