One of the joys of going to Disney without kids is taking your time to enjoy all that Epcot has to offer. There are attractions that are fun but it can be just as enjoyable to visit each country and take your time to walk around and look through the shops and see the street performers. You can even try to get a meal or snack in every country. Four countries have attractions that are movies and two have boat rides. If you want to get a sense of the country then you can view the movie. Some find it interesting and others may find it boring.
The Living Seas – Turtle Talk with Crush, The Seas with Nemo and Friends, indoor aquarium
The Land – Living with the Land, Soarin’
Journey to Imagination – Journey to Imagination with Figment, Captain EO with Michael Jackson
Universe of Energy – Ellen’s Energy Adventure
(clockwise around the lagoon)
Mexico – Grand Fiesta Tour (boat ride)
Norway – Maelstrom (boat ride followed by movie)
China – Wonders of China (19 minute movie)
American Adventure – American Adventure (30 minute audio animatronics show in theater)
France – Impressions de France (movie)
Canada – O Canada (17 minute movie)
Many countries also have outdoor performers at scheduled times including Chinese acrobats, Japanese drummers, Colonial Fife and Drum, and more. Check the guide map for specific times and locations. These performers are worth checking out. Get a snack, find a shady spot and take a look.
You will find Epcot to be more of a relaxed day than Magic Kingdom with lots of rides. There will be lots of walk though.
