Theme Parks

February 6, 2011 by Allison Sandberg

There are four theme parks at Walt Disney World:

  • Magic Kingdom
  • EPCOT
  • Hollywood Studios
  • Animal Kingdom

First you need to consider Magic Your Way Tickets. Without tickets you can’t visit any of the parks. Here are the latest prices and information for Disney Park Tickets. You need to decide how many days you need tickets for and what options you want to add. You can add the hopper option, water park fun & more option, and/or the no expiration option in any combination. If you need to purchase just tickets (not a resort and ticket package) you can fill out a Disney Ticket Request and I can help you decide what you need, let you know the price, and purchase them. They can be picked up at Disney for free or have them shipped to you for a small fee.

Before you leave home you may want to check out Park Hours. As you arrive at the parks you will have to go through a security check first. Once you get in be sure to pick up your FASTpass to help you get on your favorite rides with fewer lines. FASTpass is available on these attractions. You can also check attraction wait times.

As a resort guest you can also take advantage of extra magic hours. There are specific rides available at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom during this special time.

If you have little ones with you be sure to take advantage of the rider swap and the baby care centers.

Take a look at your park guides to get an idea of what times the shows, parades, and fireworks are offered; where the characters will be; and any special closures. You can pick them up at your resort or at the entrance of the parks.

For some extra fun enjoy a Disney Scavenger Hunt. It is designed to be used at any Disney theme park and is perfect for a large group going to different theme parks to compete against each other.

Most of all enjoy yourself and don’t worry about what you don’t see, just make tons of magical memories with everything you do.
